The American Cancer Society reports that cancer claimed nearly eight million lives in 2007 alone.  According to the National Cancer Institute, almost 11 million cancer survivors are living in the United States.

The 2008 LIVESTRONG Summit brought together 1,000 current and potential cancer leaders from across the country, all united with the singular purpose of making cancer a national priority.
