JamesCare at University Hospital East is perfectly positioned to give you complete cancer care close to home. Our services are part of Ohio State's James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, which is recognized as one of "America's Best Hospitals" by U.S. News & World Report. We care for adults with many types of cancer and blood disorders, including breast cancer, colon cancer, melanoma, lymphoma, lung cancer, bladder cancer and prostate cancer.
Our Team
We see patients on both an outpatient and inpatient basis at UH East. Our physicians located on the 2nd floor of the hospital are hematology/oncology certified and our RNs have oncology and/or strong medical surgical experience. The scope of care also includes dietitians, pharmacists and other support staff who are dedicated to JamesCare at UH East. Patients also have access to enrolling in clinical trials.
Convenience, Comfort and Support
Our newly remodeled chemotherapy clinic on the 9th floor overlooking all of east Columbus has eight treatment rooms with beautiful views. We have two private rooms for patients receiving long treatments and six semi-private rooms with two recliners in each room. Patients can have their blood drawn, receive chemotherapy, IV hydration, antibiotics and blood product infusions in the clinic setting. Referrals for therapies are accepted from any physicians with privileges to The James.
JamesCare at University Hospital East is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On weekends and holidays patients are treated at The James on the OSU campus, if necessary.
