Sewing Center

The James Stitching Sisters have created a Sewing Center at 325 Cramer Creek Court where they regularly meet to work on projects. This is possible due to a generous donation of office space, originally from Frank Kass, Continental Realty. The space is currently sustained by Nationwide Realty. The Sewing Center has been up and running since October 2005 as a place to gather and organize fabric, cut quilts, piece tops, machine quilt, and maintain the breast cancer patient quilt program.

Anyone interested is welcome to join us as we work toward our goal of making 500 quilts in 2008. We need people to sew, sort fabric, iron, quilt and laugh. You can take kits home to piece, completed tops to quilt, or completed quilts to bind.

The Sewing Center Schedule is available online. (requires Adobe Reader)

DIRECTIONS:

Cramer Creek is off Frantz Road, north of Tuttle and south of 161.  It is just south of the intersection of Rings & Frantz Roads.  If you are coming north of Tuttle, turn right; south of 161, turn left just after you cross Rings Rd.

After you turn into Cramer Creek Court, turn into the parking lot on the right.  Enter the building on the right (look for 325 on the second story corner of the building).  We are located on the 2nd floor, 4th door on the right …..come on in!!  If the front door is locked (it typically is on a Sunday), look for a little paper sign on the glass that indicates whose cell phone you can call – we’ll be right down to let you in.

Please also note the sessions at Quilt Beginnings (3409 E. Broad Street  43213), Quilt Beginnings NW (6689 Sawmill Road 43017), and Always in Stitches (3937 Broadway, Suite B, Grove City).  These stores generously offer their time, space, machines, and talent for our project.

If you are in the area and need to pick up supplies or drop something off, please feel free to call us.
